Wow, Lesley, that green is positively fluorescent! These are such happy cakes, made with love and personality. Just great. I'm glad the riddle of the rat was solved before I came here though - it worried me when iI saw it!
What?! I get the prize? Gummy bookworms all around!!
There's a Lake McDonald in Glacier Park Montana that's the same shape, too ....well sort of...That one is surrounded by towering peaks and heavily wooded slopes.
It's also really really COLD all summer - quite refreshing, tho, after a long hot day of driving tourists back and forth across the divide. Usually didn't bother to change out of my work clothes....
Passionate about music/singing and travel. I’ve travelled to 30+ countries on shoe-string budgets, lived in France, trained my voice and sing: jazz, rock and classical. Love each one for their differences and challenges.
Today much of my learning comes from travelling and appreciating cultures. I believe all should travel to see how others live elsewhere. While we have different faiths, foods etc., essentially we’re the same. Peace to us all!

I like seeing happy, colourful cakes :-)
Oh what fun Lesley...cake art! You say it's an old hobby, but did you learn to do it professionally?
I can't make out what the rat like thing is, but I love the bookworms! Precious!
Must be very fulfilling...especially if you get to eat the cake ;-)
Nice job decorating, and such a yummy hobby!
I dunno. Maybe the rat looking thing is.....Lake Erie?
Gummy bookworms really take the cake! ;)
Those are great cakes, so talented. you are an artist! I do not know the rat looking thing is.

I was thinking the black blog looks like a discarded leather bra. But that can't be right. Or can it? Is there something you want to tell us?

Hi Lesley, how's life, art and your universe?
Black blob. Can't type. Argh.
And .... drum roll ....
Rache wins the prize .... well sort of.
It is a Lake, but not Lake Eerie. No one but Dale could have guessed which lake it is. ...
Lake MacDonald, the lake where we had our summer cottage, which is now the place where our parents reside full time.
Val - things here are going well but getting colder ;-(

I thought along the lines of Anne marie, I thought it was disgarded underwear!..

Hmmm, methinks we need a new post here, or I'll lose my resolve and rush off to buy a big creamy cake....the power of visual persuasion!
Those are some awesome looking cakes! I love cake. Especially chocolate with chocolate icing and a big glass of milk.
I need some cake.
Have a great weekend Lesley!
